Privacy
The short version: we use your information to send you your order and to work out
which products people actually want. We don't sell it, we don't share it for advertising, and
there is not a single third-party tracker on this site.
No trackers. Really.
- No Google Analytics, no Facebook pixel, no advertising or retargeting scripts.
- Product photos are served from our own server, so no image host can profile you either.
- Our analytics are first-party — the numbers stay with us and are used to run the shop,
not sold or shared with anyone.
What we collect while you browse
Enough to understand what's working on the site, and no more:
- Pages and products viewed, searches typed, items added to the cart, and orders placed.
- Your IP address, which we turn into a rough location (country and city) so we can see
where our shoppers are. We use ip-api.com for that lookup and it is never done while you're
browsing — only later, in batches, when we look at our own dashboard.
- Your browser and device type (for example "iPhone · Safari"), and which site sent you here.
- Your language preference, so the site comes back in the same language.
We use this to answer questions like which products get looked at but never bought, or
which sizes sell out first. It is genuinely about merchandising, not about you personally.
What we collect when you buy
- Your name, email, and shipping address — we need them to ship the order and to email you
tracking.
- We never see your card details. Payment happens on Stripe's own checkout page;
your card number never touches our server. Stripe tells us only that the payment succeeded.
- If you create an account: your name, email, an optional phone number, and your order history.
Your password is stored hashed (PBKDF2, 200,000 iterations) — we cannot read it, and neither
can anyone who gets hold of the file.
Cookies, all six of them
ss_vid — a random ID so repeat visits count as one person. 1 year.ss_sid — groups one visit together. 30 minutes.ss_acct — keeps you signed in. Only if you have an account.ss_csrf — security; stops other sites submitting forms as you.ss_cart and ss_guest_ok — your cart and your "continue as guest"
choice. These live in your browser's storage and are never sent to us.
None of these are advertising cookies, and none are shared with anyone.
Emails
We email you about your order: confirmation, shipping with tracking, delivery, and refunds. If
you tick the newsletter box we'll also send occasional drops — every one has an unsubscribe link,
and unsubscribing never affects your order emails. If you leave something in your cart while signed
in, we may send one reminder with a discount code.
How long we keep things
- Orders — kept as long as we're required to for tax and accounting.
- Analytics — the browsing events above, kept for roughly a year, then aged out.
- Your account — until you ask us to delete it.
Your choices
Email customerservice@sold.supply and we'll:
- send you a copy of what we hold about you,
- correct anything wrong,
- or delete your account and personal details (we keep the bare order record where the law
requires it).
You can also clear the cookies above in your browser at any time — the site keeps working, it
just stops recognising you between visits.
Children
This shop isn't aimed at children under 13 and we don't knowingly collect their information.
Changes
If we change how any of this works, we'll change this page. Questions about any of it? Email
